Am I Goodbye?
Posted on: 26 October 2009
What will I be when all that I am
Is a framed gleaming smile?
A friendly ear to those who need
A newborn in a new confused life
Or will I be just grass for your feet?
What will you be – if my tears flow over
Your framed gleaming smile
And your scent, it still hangs in the air
But I’ll be there soon
And I’ll look for you, I’m sure you will too
But who will we find?
On the other side
Is there even a line?
On the other side
What will I be – what will you be
What will we be?
If just grass for feet
No ear or newborn then I
Hope you can grow next to me
On the other side
Is there even a line?
On the other side
Or is it just goodbye?
Goodbye
